In sex educator Grace Alice Ó Sé’s recent dara & co masterclass on improving communication around sex, she challenged viewers to follow more sex-focused content creators on social media. Hailing from Kerry, Grace is an occupational therapist, author, and trained sex educator and intimacy specialist who believes that everyone deserves a life filled with joy, pleasure and connection. She runs a landmark relationship and sex education (RSE) programme for schools called RSE & Me. Cam Fraser is Australia’s leading men’s sex coach. Tanaya grew up with parents who worked as fertility doctors and had candid conversations about sexual health with her from an early age. She eventually went on to obtain a master’s degree in clinical embryology at the University of Oxford, and now she shares her expertise online. Certified sex therapist Todd Baratz helps people improve their relationships and their sex lives. He has contributed to Men’s Health, NBC, Vice, Cosmopolitan, Vogue, and Glamour, highlighting his approach that centres on relational self-esteem. Todd believes that the significant relationships in our lives are our biggest source of joy. While that may be the case, we never receive any formal education on how to thrive in our relationships and connect with others as best we can, so he uses his platform to help change that. Much of Janelle’s content debunks common myths about hygiene, the anatomy and vaginal health more generally. Queer clinical sexologist Dr Bima Loxley offers inclusive and shame-free sex education online. They specialise in gender, sexual and relationship diversity (including navigating gender dysphoria, kinks and fetishes and queering your erotic identity); sexual function (such as levels of desire and arousal, inability to orgasm, infertility, sexual trauma and lack of sex education); and relationships (looking at relationship check-in and maintenance, infidelity and trust issues, mismatched desire, non-monogamy, and improving intimacy and connection). Bima’s work also explores the importance of non-sexual relationships in our wellbeing, and how friendships deserve – and require – as much work as romantic relationships.

Cassie Rattray is an award-winning sex educator, feminist podcast host and student nurse based in Liverpool. She runs the website RadicalLove.co.uk, where she explores queer rights, sex education, mental health and fertility. Cassie is the co-host of the award-winning podcast From Tops to Bottoms, in which she provides a humorous take on sexuality, feminism, BDSM, fatphobia and allyship. Much of her work focuses on RSE for schools and individuals, and her RSE services for schools in Liverpool ensure that the content delivered to students is inclusive of LGBTQ+ people and their unique needs.

Eva Bloom

Last but not least, we have Eva Bloom, an award-winning queer sex educator and speaker who has educated more than 3 million people around the globe. Eva’s work sets out to help queer and trans late bloomers experience queer joy, better confidence and great sex. They provide a number of different online workshops, honing in on topics like how to have compassionate casual sex and how to romance yourself while cultivating joy and authenticity instead of shame. Eva has spoken all over the world at conferences and universities including Cornell University, the University of Toronto and the Guelph Sexuality Conference. They look at sex through a political lens, highlighting how ableism desexualises disabled people; how white supremacy robs Black people of their rest and pleasure; how cisheteronormativity demands that queer and trans people should be ashamed of their desires; and how fatphobia attempts to deny people pleasure.
